It may seem unlikely, but it was a career in the utility sector that led Annemarie Newman into the world of voice over. Well, that and her background as a trained classical singer.
A life-long student of the performing arts, this female VO talent from Wisconsin knows how to juggle her career, kids, and artistic pursuits with easy flair. Her work as a media responder in the utility industry frequently put her in front of the mic and the camera, where she has always felt at ease. She quickly became a go-to, in-house VO talent for internal, corporate, and E-learning projects for her employers. And as a voracious learner, with aptitudes in foreign language and etymology, Annemarie is a natural at making complex coy sound accessible and engaging to a variety of audiences.
In 2010, she began a dedicated study of voice and has been singing with the Madison Symphony Chorus since 2014. She combines these two passions as host of the morning music program Classical Cornucopia hosted by Ava Borelli on WORT FM in Madison. She’s also a student of voice over who trains with the top coaches in the biz.
When she’s not voicing Commercials, E-learning, and Corporate and Medical Narrations, you might find this melodious voice talent pursuing her love for social dance on the dance floor or recharging in the yoga studio. Or, because she’s always looking for new opportunities to pursue her passions, taking an improv class.
